VS-C®
HOW IT WORKS
According to Eastern philosophy, life permits us to work with what we have on earth here and now—body and mind—in order to reclaim and maintain the innate energy and spirit that reside within us. Energy and spirit must be awakened, nurtured and balanced in order for life to flourish. TCM philosophy names five distinct energies that permeate the body:Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood. Exclusive to Nature’s Sunshine, this immune-supporting formula is a combination that Chinese herbalists would describe as “metal enhancing." Healthy lungs and unimpeded air flow make for an optimal metal constitution.*
WHY OUR FORMULA?
Our Chinese herbal blends carefully follow the principles of ancient Chinese Medicine that have been practiced for more than two millennia. Herbs in VS-C® were selected for their many properties, including balance and harmony.*
For more than 35 years, we’ve partnered with the same incredible vendor to collaborate with farmers in traditional communities to bring only the finest herbs from China to the US. And we’ve conducted multiple on-site audits throughout the years to re-verify the quality of both their facility and their herbs. Our farmers are deeply attached to the land they’ve lived on and worked for generations, and they practice regenerative farming methods to preserve it for future use.*THE STORY BEHIND VS-C® (VEGICAPSULES)
VS-C® is a proprietary blend of 10 Chinese herbs grown and harvested in China. These herbs have been used for thousands of years in TCM to combat disease and help maintain health.*
In the mid-1980s, Nature’s Sunshine worked with Wenwei Xie, a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Beijing, who came to the US as part of a research project on Chinese remedies for immune support. Working with Dr. Xie, Nature’s Sunshine developed VS-C® based on classical TCM formulations for the immune system. VS-C® helps the body maintain a vital yin-yang balance.*
As a metal (Jin)-enhancing blend, VS-C® is designed to promote connection and purity according to TCM…to nurture the lungs (Fei) and large intestine (Da Chang), the two organs associated with the metal element. The large intestine lets go of toxins and waste while the lungs breathe in fresh air to nourish the blood and exhale additional toxins.*Take one VegCap with a meal up to four times daily, or as directed by your healthcare professional.
